The second commercial recording for IBS Classical will be entirely dedicated to the sonatas of D. Scarlatti. This new recording took place from September 11 to 14, 2017 at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada and is expected to be available by fall 2018. Alberto Urroz has performed successfully tributes to Scarlatti Sonatas in Spain, Italy and Portugal, in the three most important cities in the life of the great Baroque composer, Naples, Lisbon and Madrid. This new album, with a selection of sonatas with a clear Iberian accent, some of which are rarely performed despite their beauty, puts a finishing touch to this tour. We are therefore facing a very interesting selection of sonatas played by one of the Spanish pianists with a more personal view on this repertoire.
