Alberto Urroz has been awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award by the University Alfonso X el Sabio for the best doctoral thesis in Arts and Humanities of the 2016-2017 academic year, with special mention to his thesis director, Dra. Alicia Villar Lecumberri. The thesis “Optimization of the teaching-learning process of piano technique: models to develop efficiency in the interpretation of studies Op. 299 by C. Czerny (1791-1857)” was defended on July 12, 2017, receiving the Outstanding grade “cum laude”. The award ceremony by the Rector of the UAX took place on October 4 at the solemn opening ceremony of the academic year 2018-2019.
